How to Create a Reference Page

Step 1

  • Determine if the page should be another type of page, and use those instructions:
  • If the page is not one of the above pages move on to step 2

Step 2

  • Create a page with the name of the reference: There are three ways to do this, follow the link for details
    • Do not put a colon ":" in the page name
  • Copy the contents of this page: reference-template to the new page
  • Title the page with the name of the reference

Step 3 - Description

  • Write a brief one-line description of the reference

Step 4 - History

  • Provide a brief history of the reference
  • If the reference does not have a history, or you cannot provide one, tag the episode with:
need-history

Step 5 - Episode List

  • Change "REF-TAG" to the tag on the episode page for this episode
  • A list of current reference tags exists here: tags-references
  • Add the reference tag for this reference to the tags-references page

Step 6 - Links

  • Under "See also" link to any openargswiki page relating to this page
  • Under "Links" link to any external page relating to this page

Step 7 - Add Tags

  • Always add the tags

  • Remember to add any of the tags from above for missed content:
need-history

Step 8 - Populate Lists

  • Use Wikidot's search function to look up the name of the reference or variations thereof
  • Tag Episode pages found with the appropriate tag:
